Synopsis:
In the years leading up to WW2, and during the war, a British Widow opens a theater as a bit of a hobby. Wanting to have her performers in the nude, she learns that they have to be motionless to be considered art. Determined to have the show go on, she collects together a group of girls that can hold a pose and show their breasts.
Review:
This is a fantastic movie. However, the durations of the freezes was SO disappointing. We're talking only seconds at a time. Most of the footage is of the dancers and singers leading up to the freeze portion of the performance. They have some very excellent models that can hold intricate poses, but you barely get to see them. The lead dancer is a beautiful blonde, and the featured freeze performer, but you'll only see her that way for moments at a time. When she is posed, her mannequin style makeup is a delight.
Summary:
If you have a rental service, get this movie, since it will be no cost to you. If you can borrow the movie, take a look. Some gem lines about tired arms almost make it worth it. Otherwise, skip it.
