If you are a fan of the deactivating android/robot genre, then this season's Andromeda is for you. Nearly every episode has had a shutdown (or at least low power) scene with the resident android hottie, Rommie. In the current episode (Double or Nothingness), Rommie has to shut down twice due to incoming EMP radiation. The first is decent, but the second is awesome. She shuts down mid-gesture and mid-sentence, tipping over. The previous episode featured Rommie in a power-drained mode that was also cool. I'm hoping the writers are working in her mechannicalness more this season. I welcome it! Very Happy

Has anyone seen anything from the actress talking about playing the shutdowns, especially so often?

The actress is Lexa Doig....she was in Jason X (even frozen, even if it was disappointing)

...some before about not being very good at playing "mechanical"...she considers herself a "spaz" physically. So this turn of events is both unexpected and welcomed.
