For all Canadian viewers, be on the lookout for a Christmas Commercial from the Bay. It involves a group of living mannequins posed in lingerie, changing their poses when a woman (the manager, I guess), helping a lot of Santas, passes by them.

I will keep my eyes on for the commercial here as I seen the commercial showing in the same store they shot it in. It goes by The Bay here in Toronto as this commercial was shot on the 3rd floor lingerie department. Was there tonight and all the mannequins are back where the models were posing. It looks like they took samples on how to pose from the mannequins there.

If I get the commercial will send it off to Dos or D

Like me.. I do take window's around Toronto and you and I know from over the years Toronot's window's been going downhill quite a bit. We lost lot's of window's do to Eaton's closer.

Any clue since your in TO what channel the commercial was on? I taped 6 hours of CTV (Cool today while I was at work and no luck. Saw their other commercial with the Santa's but not the one were chasing?

I will set the VCR for Global tomorrow or CBC

It was on Global, where a lot of Bay ads are shown. Your best bet is during soap opera showtimes, as the Bay targets those viewers as potential customers. Ctv or City would be your next option.

I think I got lucky! I drove up to the Sault Ste Marie area the weekend of 11/22, brought up my TV/VCR combo, and taped some Canadian programming (yeah, mostly for those commercials we in the States can't see). I set it to tape The District on CH (Channel 38 in Sault Ste Marie), and lo and behold in the last commercial break is that commercial for The Bay. Yeah, it is truly a treat to watch. The LM's posed and performed very well IMO, with the stiff head turns and arm movements nicely flattering the lingerie (as if to show how flattering it can be on a real woman rather than a real mannequin). I didn't previously know that this commercial was running in Canada, but to paraphrase The Bay's tag line, it was certainly more than what I came up to the Sault for. I'm happy I saw it.

Since you have it on tape is there any way you can get it to Dosman to post on here? Thanks.

Sault Ste. Marie, eh? I've spent many a time there myself.

Isn't it buried in snow right now? Just how uncomfortable were you? I can see why you would need that TV/VCR combo, even if there were no mannequin commercial to tape.

Actually, there was no snow the weekend of November 22nd in the Sault Ste Marie. Okay, the temperatures were cool, the fall foilage had long since past, and it rained the latter part of the weekend, but I still had a fun time there. I have been to the Sault Ste Marie area several times before as well, and it is truly a treat to come back to, regardless of the weather. Nice area, friendly people... a downright peaceful place to get away to.

As for my tape... I am currently unable to deliver a copy of the commercial to anyone via online means. But, I do still have the tape in my possession (no, I didn't tape over it). So, if Dosman or anyone else would like to add it to their collection and/or post it online, I'm very happy to deliver it through snail mail. Just let me know where to send the tape and I will gladly forward it to you. (It will be yours to keep, as I have made a copy of the commercial for my own.)
