I remembered when I was a kid, I saw a commercial, from Poptarts, about two teen guys looking at two teen girl mannequins in a store front window and the two guys go to the electronics section and use the toaster (to promote Potarts, of course) and the smell of the pastries fills the nostrils of the two frozen beauties and slowly start coming to life....first you see their eyes move to where to smell is coming from and they start smiling.....after the two boys grab their ready poptarts, they sit by mannequins who both squat to grab the pop-tarts......

Now,m if anyone has info, a link, or the actual clip of this commercial then please reply Very Happy

..hmm, i don't recall that one..but it sounds good! i do remember seeing a commercial in the late 70's-to early 80's for orange crush in which some aliens freeze a high school dance. the aliens get out and walk around the frozen students, until they come upon one caught drinking a soda. they pry the soda out of the students hand, taste the soda, then decide to beam the soda machine on board instead! i remember seeing it several times when i was young....and it has eluded me ever since... And the stuff you see when you're young is what sticks in your head later on when you realize what your fetish is about.

There was a Burger King commercial with mannequins, too, back in the mid-90s or so. They were modelling something (watches?) that was in the kids' meals, I think.

....speaking of commercials containing mannequins....there was a pants commercial (Levi??) shown during the Super Bowl...a security gaurd is checking on the department store and he hears a noise, he looks at a hanger where there should have been some pants hanging and he shows the light on where a male mannequin should...the scene cuts into the elevator where the male mannequin is wearing just the pants. The elevator stops on the Lingirie Floor where a Display of mannequins in Lingirie are wating for him....

I hope someone has this clip or any info...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure I have that poptarts commercial on tape somewhere. I'm about to move, but afterwards I'll see if I can get it captured. Remind me in about a month. Very Happy

Where I live there was a commercial in late 80's about a xerox photocopy machine, it was compared to a 'robot girl' that were brought deactivated (motionless in a mannequin-esque pose). this girl has a plug and when it were connected she started to move very sexy... man that was a good one

lots of Nostalgia here......Long, Long Time ago like early to mid 80's Micheal J. Fox (from the hit Family Ties and Teen Wolf movies) did a commercial for Diet Pepsi. he made a duplicate android of himself so he could go on a date.....well, after taking a sip of his Diet Pepsi he falls through a chute and his girlfriend comes over to pick the android duplicate up instead of the real Micheal.... I doubt anyone has this clip, but it was a fun one to share

No,it was not just your imagination.I also fondly recall seeing that commercial for a few months in the summer/fall of 1977 or 1978.What made that commercial so great was (1)all the girls were really cute;(2)it was all pure live freeze, with no freeze-frame/special effects garbage;and(3)the girls held their freezes beautifully and held them for a fairly long time-no blinking,no moving,no twitching, just a gorgeous stillness.

I remember that commercial (or something like it) as well. Believe it or not, I remember seeing it only once (Summer of '83 on an out-of-town station I picked up on the TV), but I still can't forget it. IIRC, the aliens in question actually removed the freeze from one of the partygoers, who gave a very brief (2 or 3 words) but favorable testimonial of the Orange Crush. I also want to think the aliens didn't remove the freeze when they flew out; of course, I could be wrong on that.
